The HBC Group is further expanding its presence in the DACH region and has now also entered the Austrian market. In the third quarter of 2024, the Hamburg-based group is establishing both, a holding company and an insurance broker based in Vienna. With this strategic move, HBC is strengthening and expanding its position in the dynamic and growing German-speaking market.
‘We see the Austrian market as highly attractive and full of potential for long-term growth,’ says Gert Schlossmacher, Managing Director of the newly founded HBC Holding in Vienna, which he heads together with Dr Sebastian Friese. The first step has already been taken with a successful portfolio transfer, with more to follow. ‘A deep understanding and extensive experience in the Austrian market and in the CEE region form the basis for profitable growth in the coming years,’ adds Horst Anselm, Managing Director of HBC Versicherungsmakler GmbH.
