Your tasks

  • Remote sensing for global risk management of natural hazards
  • Support in the conception of new projects
  • Research activities & collaboration in consulting projects with a focus on agricultural insurance and natural hazards
  • Research activities related to current topics in geoinformatics and data science
  • Automated data management and analysis
  • Collaboration on market entry studies incl. market research and analyses
  • Support with the initiation work for projects
  • Creation of presentations, reports and other documents
  • Back office administration support in collaboration with the back office team
  • General office work and support for the team

Your profile

  • Master's degree in geosciences and environmental sciences or related courses with experience in remote sensing, geoinformatics and land managemen
  • Active interest in the topics of climate change, agriculture and natural hazards
  • Knowledge of the use, processing and interpretation of spatial information using computer-aided modelling and visualization
  • Knowledge of GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS)
  • Basic knowledge of the programming languages SQL, Python desirable
  • Web-based visualizations with HTML, CSS, JavaScript or similar desirable
  • Business fluent in German and English
  • Ability to work in a team and independently, proactively and responsibly
  • High level of self-motivation and creative problem-solving skills
  • Analytical and numerical competence
  • Experience in the insurance and/or reinsurance industry is an advantage
