The HBC Group is delighted that the Hamburg-based yacht insurance company Schomacker has joined its portfolio. For more than five decades, the company has specialized in coverage concepts for all aspects of water sports. Hamburger Yacht-Versicherung is one of the top 3 addresses in this segment and has in-depth expertise and a long-established customer network in Europe.
With this addition, HBC is expanding its position in the private customer segment. \u201cThe acquisition of the Hamburg-based specialist broker for yacht insurance is an important building block in our growth strategy. By bundling expertise within the HBC Group, we are creating the basis for sustainable success in this specialized private customer market segment,\u201d emphasizes Hauke Martinsen, CEO of the HBC Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strategic alignment and expansion of the business division<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hamburger Yacht-Versicherung will be established as a competence center for cover concepts relating to water sports within the HBC Group. The aim is to significantly expand the existing business and open up new markets. The focus is particularly on covering risks for yachts and boats, a segment with growth potential.
