Shaping the transition at HBC: Tibor von Jankó hands over operational responsibility

Tibor von Jankó, Managing Director and co-founder of the HBC Group and Managing Director of Albis Versicherungsmakler GmbH, is stepping down from his operational roles on 30 June 2025 and handing over responsibility to capable hands. Tibor von Jankó has played a key role in shaping the strategic direction and development of the HBC Group from the very beginning. As a founding member, he brought entrepreneurial vision, integrative strength and deep market knowledge to the group.

The management of Albis will be handed over to a dual leadership team consisting of Jan M. Leuchtenberger and Ralph Tonnius, who will also be jointly responsible for Barg & Büttner as part of the strategic realignment at the Hamburg location. This is an initial and important step towards the future, in which two companies will merge to form a brokerage firm next year. Jan M. Leuchtenberger is a long-standing managing director at Barg & Büttner, part of the HBC Group. Ralph Tonnius was previously authorised signatory at Albis and has a deep understanding of the company, its customers and its corporate culture. Tibor von Jankó's commitment has helped to ensure that Albis and Barg & Büttner will be joining forces in the future.

Tibor von Jankó adds: ‘That is precisely why now is a good time to place the responsibility in trusted hands. I am confident that the team will continue on the same course with fresh impetus. In this context, I am also stepping down from my role as Managing Director of the HBC Group and look forward to observing the company's further development from a different perspective in the future.’

‘We are delighted to be working with the team to continue Tibor's successful work and to drive forward the consolidation under one roof at HBC,’ said Jan Leuchtenberger.
