We are proud to announce the revival of Orca Insurance Agency, a strong and well-known brand in the Nordic insurance market. This resurgence comes as a direct consequence of the sale of DUPI Underwriting Agencies Nordic to Hanseatic Broking Centre (HBC) – an internationally recognized player with deep expertise and a solid network.
With HBC as our strategic owner, Orca Insurance Agency gains a unique platform to strengthen its market position. We are proud to promote the strong ORCA brand once again, which stands for quality, flexibility, and tailor-made solutions.
The day-to-day management consists of Lars Henriksen and Henrik Pilegaard, who originally founded Orca. Their experience and commitment ensure continuity and innovation in this new chapter for Orca Insurance Agency.

Managing Director at Orca
With over 20 years of executive leadership in the maritime and insurance industries, Lars brings a unique blend of operational insight and strategic vision.
He holds a Master Marine license and served as a Captain on merchant ships and a Premier Lieutenant in the Royal Danish Navy – giving him firsthand experience in navigating both literal and corporate seas.
Lars earned an Executive MBA in Shipping & Logistics from Copenhagen Business School, graduating Top 5 cum laude. His career includes senior roles at multinational firms such as Codan, RSA and Lavaretus (JLT), and he leads our operations with discipline, determination, and a hands-on leadership style.
Henrik Pilegaard
Underwriting Director at Orca
Henrik is an accomplished underwriting executive with 20+ years of marine insurance expertise. He is known for his analytical precision, deep market insight, and commitment to delivering tailored insurance solutions.
