Hauke, what challenges do you currently see in the insurance market and how is HBC meeting them?
Hauke: The insurance market is facing considerable upheaval. The keywords here are consolidation and increasing pressure for synergy effects. Small brokerage firms with just a few employees in particular are increasingly losing their negotiating power vis-à-vis insurers. In order to meet these challenges, we are focussing on technological innovations and targeted market development. Our strategy is based on the aggregation of units in order to act together as a strong partner and negotiate better conditions for our members. Digitalisation also offers considerable potential, which we are using proactively.

How does the HBC Group support its partners with digitalisation and the use of new technologies?
Hauke: Digitalisation is a central component of our strategy. We continuously invest in advanced technologies and digital platforms that help our partners to optimise their processes and increase efficiency.
